At Destenee Salon and Spa, we hand select only the top graduates from the best schools to enter our assistant program. Our assistant program fast tracks the learning process and our assistants gain more experience in three months than most stylists do in five years. Only the best assistants will be given a spot on the floor at Destenee and when you sit in their chair, you will know that you are in the chair of a true professional.

Meet The Owner of Destenee Salon and Spa
Bobbie Ramadanovic, Master Designer
Bobbie has been involved in the beauty industry in Chapel Hill for 15 years. She has developed a large clientele through superior customer service and an ongoing passion to consistently improve her technique and knowledge. This is also a trait that she has instilled in each one of her stylists by having continuing education classes held at Destenee. The beauty industry is always changing. Better products and newer techniques are constantly evolving and Bobbie makes sure that she and the rest of the staff at Destenee are always up on the latest trends.
Bobbie’s experience is well rounded and can achieve almost any look, but her two favorite areas in the hair business are color and bridal hairstyles. Bobbie is well known in the hair community for her technical knowledge in hair color formulation and application. She has a true talent and passion for creating spectacular up-dos. These areas of the business allow for the most creativity and allow the stylist to showcase their artistic abilities. Destenee’s Bridal Parties have drawn national recognition from Launchpad Magazine!
Natasha Artis, Designer
Natasha is a Dudley Beauty College Graduate with over 12 years of experience. She prides herself in paying attention to the needs and concerns of clients. Her specialties are performing roller-sets, silk wraps, color, relaxers, up-dos, hair weaving and precision cuts. Natasha has developed techniques that allow her to preserve the health and integrity of the hair. She also attends advanced continuing education classes to stay up to date with all of the latest styles and techniques. If you want to book with Natasha, plan in advance! She is extremely skilled and books up fast!

Hamza Ramadanovic, Stylist
Hamza is the son of Bobbie and like his mother, he has proven to have an extraordinary talent for the hair industry. He attended the Emerald Academy, A Paul Mitchell Partner School and graduated at the top of his class. He was heavily recruited while in school and did hair for several fashion shows. He has already received two endorsements to join the JPMS Team. Hamza’s passion lies in the Cut and he excels at every aspect. He can obtain a professional, everyday look or a fun, modern and funky cut. He is great with color and highlights, but don’t ask him for a manicure or pedicure. Hey, we all have our weaknesses!
Carrie Dacunto, Stylist, Make Up Artist, Nail Tech
Carrie attended and graduated at the top of her class at the Emerald Academy, A Paul Mitchell Partner School. She was referred to us with a strong recommendation from the staff at the school. She has an extensive background in the beauty industry. She has provided make up services for fashion shows, magazines, theatre and television. Carrie has also provided make up for Playboy Studios, Hawaiian Tropics, Budweiser, and MTV. She has been a certified Nail Tech since 1998 and gives the most amazing manicures and pedicures. Carrie is passionate about the beauty industry and is excelling in every aspect of the hair side of this business. She really enjoy giving highlights and is awesome at the brushlight technique. The majority of her clients re-book their appointments with her before they even walk out of the door.
Whitney Recob, Stylist
Whitney, a is no stranger to the Paul Mitchell team. She is an experienced colorist and stylist and enjoys experimenting with different styles and trends. She has spent time receiving advanced education with the Paul Mitchell team in cutting edge techniques. Whitney is known for mixing vintage styles with today’s modern trends. She has experience with all hair types, including a range of ethnicities. She loves working with people to achieve their desired color and style. Whitney enjoys all aspects of the hair industry. Her passion shows in her work and her personality combined with professionalism keep her clients coming back. She believes that when people come first, success will follow.

Deanna Graves, Massage Therapist
I was born and raised in Indianapolis, IN and moved to NC with family in 1997. My education included business, networking, and web design, which led me to the field of corporate Human Resources for more than 7 years. Over those years in the corporate workforce, I became very aware of the stresses of daily life and work within myself, employees, and friends. While I have always had an interest in health, wellness and complimentary therapies, I made a life changing decision to leave the corporate workforce and fully pursue my passion for healing. After receiving my massage license from Medical Arts Massage and Esthetics School in 2006, I have continued to build on my growing knowledge through additional workshops, most recently including my third Lymphatic Drainage Massage in November 2009. In 2007 I returned to The Medical Arts School as an instructor. There I teach a variety of classes; reflexology, case management, orthopedic assessment, trigger point, and sports massage.
And now, I have come to Destenee Salon and Spa to continue my journey in healing and wellness, excited about the opportunity.
The focus of my practice is to help people who suffer from chronic pain, injuries, illness or stress. I help clients restore balance by alleviating pain and muscle tension while allowing clients to relax and renew in a peaceful environment.
In addition to my focus on massage and healing, I love to spend time with my husband Brian and our two precious puggles, Samantha and Major. I also enjoy growing herbs, Pilates and yoga, hiking and camping.
Chrissy Monzon, Massage Therapist
After Chrissy realized she could put her passion for pampering people to good use, she enrolled in Massage Therapy at Miller-Motte College. Nearly two years later she graduated with honors and was on her way to a more productive career. She is experienced in Swedish, Hot Stone, Trigger Point and she is also a Level 1 Reiki Practitioner. In addition to Massage Therapy, Chrissy also does body scrubs and body wraps!
Kristi Sundberg, Esthetician
As you can see, we hold Kristi in the highest of regards here at Destenee. She currently sits upon the throne of the “Speed Queen of Waxing”. Kristi has perfected a technique of waxing that dramatically cuts down on time, yet is extremely thorough. She’s so fast that we allocate 30 minutes for a full Brazilian. (We had to give her the extra time for the clients to get ready and to reset the room.) Judging from the number of repeat clients and referrals, it’s obvious that her clients appreciate her speed. She also has extensive knowledge in skin care and she’s a strong advocate for the Yonka Skin Care Line. Get Beach Body Ready with Kristi!
