At Destenee Salon and Spa, we hand select only the top graduates from the best schools to enter our assistant program. Our assistant program fast tracks the learning process and our assistants gain more experience in three months than most stylists do in five years. Only the best assistants will be given a spot on the floor at Destenee and when you sit in their chair, you will know that you are in the chair of a true professional.

Meet The Owner of Destenee Salon and Spa
Bobbie Ramadanovic, Master Designer
Bobbie has been involved in the beauty industry in Chapel Hill for 15 years. She has developed a large clientele through superior customer service and an ongoing passion to consistently improve her technique and knowledge. This is also a trait that she has instilled in each one of her stylists by having continuing education classes held at Destenee. The beauty industry is always changing. Better products and newer techniques are constantly evolving and Bobbie makes sure that she and the rest of the staff at Destenee are always up on the latest trends.
Bobbie’s experience is well rounded and can achieve almost any look, but her two favorite areas in the hair business are color and bridal hairstyles. Bobbie is well known in the hair community for her technical knowledge in hair color formulation and application. She has a true talent and passion for creating spectacular up-dos. These areas of the business allow for the most creativity and allow the stylist to showcase their artistic abilities. Destenee’s Bridal Parties have drawn national recognition from Launchpad Magazine!
Natasha Artis, Master Designer
Natasha is a Dudley Beauty College Graduate with over 12 years of experience. She prides herself in paying attention to the needs and concerns of clients. Her specialties are performing roller-sets, silk wraps, color, relaxers, up-dos, hair weaving and precision cuts. Natasha has developed techniques that allow her to preserve the health and integrity of the hair. She also attends advanced continuing education classes to stay up to date with all of the latest styles and techniques. If you want to book with Natasha, plan in advance! She is extremely skilled and books up fast!
Hamza Ramadanovic, Designer
Hamza is the son of Bobbie and like his mother, he has proven to have an extraordinary talent for the hair industry. He attended the Emerald Academy, A Paul Mitchell Partner School and graduated at the top of his class. He was heavily recruited while in school and did hair for several fashion shows. He has already received two endorsements to join the JPMS Team. Hamza’s passion lies in the Cut and he excels at every aspect. He can obtain a professional, everyday look or a fun, modern and funky cut. He is great with color and highlights, but don’t ask him for a manicure or pedicure. Hey, we all have our weaknesses!
Whitney Recob, Designer
Whitney, a is no stranger to the Paul Mitchell team. She is an experienced colorist and stylist and enjoys experimenting with different styles and trends. She has spent time receiving advanced education with the Paul Mitchell team in cutting edge techniques. Whitney is known for mixing vintage styles with today’s modern trends. She has experience with all hair types, including a range of ethnicities. She loves working with people to achieve their desired color and style. Whitney enjoys all aspects of the hair industry. Her passion shows in her work and her personality combined with professionalism keep her clients coming back. She believes that when people come first, success will follow.
Ashley Michalec, Designer
Ashley is a Paul Mitchell Academy Alumni from Jacksonville, FL. She enjoys and excels in color services and men’s hair cuts. Her priority for excellent customer service attracts her clients and her spunky and bubbly personality keeps them coming back for more! You won’t go wrong when you pick Ashley!
Brittany Gooch, Stylist
Brittany is a graduate of Aveda Institute of Chapel Hill at the top of her class. She exudes true charm and Southern Hospitality. She specializes in color, highlights, razor cuts and up dos. From street chic to classic trendy ensuring that your results will be extraordinary. She has a passion for the craft of hairstyling that enables her to bring refreshing new results to each guest that graces her chair!
Carlos E Martinez, Stylist
Carlos obtained his cosmetology license through Paul Mitchell the School of Raleigh and has furthered his expertise through continued education and advanced specializations in NYC, Washington DC, Atlanta and several other cities here in North Carolina. He has a passion for precise haircuts, chemicals, color, brazilian blowouts, keratin treatments and japanese straightening systems as well as hairstyling. Carlos started his career as an apprentice to a barber in his uncle’s barbershop in El Salvador when he was 12 years old. He later worked as an assistant to his older sister when she opened up her own beauty salon. By age 20, he came to the United States on a scholarship and obtained his degree in management information systems in Georgia Southwestern State University. He worked as a computer software technician for the last 25 years until he decided to pursue his passion in cosmetology. Carlos has continued to put hundreds of smiles on satisfied clients of all ages and ethnic backgrounds.

Jason Atkins, Master Massage Therapist
Jason is actively involved in wellness and physical development activities. He has been a licensed massage therapist since 2008, with an eclectic mix of modalities including Reiki, advanced deep tissue and specialized medical massage. In addition, he has studied mixed martial arts and survival skills for the past 20 years. Jason is truly exceptional!, he is passionate and committed to the well-being of others.
